Afrocentric/Eclectic
Afrocentric/Eclectic is a vibrant, multi-disciplinary exhibition celebrating the depth, diversity, and dynamism of the Black experience across the African diaspora. Taking place at FOK Studios Gallery in Saint Paul, MN, from July 2–19, 2025, the exhibition features visual art, performance, and multimedia works by Black creatives whose practices embrace cultural hybridity, challenge dominant narratives, and reimagine Black identity through eclectic and Afrocentric lenses.
The Opening Reception on Saturday, July 5th, from 5:00–9:00 PM, and an Artist Talk on Friday, July 11th, from 6:00–8:00 PM, where featured artists will share insights into their work and creative process.
From bold portraiture and experimental installations to performance and sound, Afrocentric/Eclectic is a celebration of Black artistry that defies categorization. It’s a curated space where tradition meets innovation, and individuality is centered within a collective voice.
