We are not superhumans.

I made this film as apart of HECUA: Making Media Making Change digital media course. The assignment was our Story of Now. I chose to highlight an egregious issue that is affecting Black families. The story about Serena Williams was eye opening, it shows that even if you are at the top of the tax bracket you will still have the high chance of dieing due to negligence and systemic racism. Black people especially Black woman are thought to have an extremely high pain tolerance thus signs of complications are ignored or overlooked at the hospital. I interviewed 3 Black woman all with similar expriences of malfeasance during a time that was suppose to be sacred and beatiful.
