Green has become a recurring symbol throughout my work, representing growth, abundance, healing, and transformation. In Shamrock Emerald Green, the figure emerges from a lush environment filled with gemstones, flowers, foliage, and objects associated with prosperity and beauty.
The work explores the relationship between Black women and nature while imagining a space of flourishing and self-possession. Rather than depicting survival alone, the piece centers abundance, pleasure, and possibility.
